Kristen received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver, and her Master of Arts degree in Contemplative Psychotherapy from Naropa University. She is also a Licensed Professional Counselor with the State of Colorado.
For 19 years, Kristen has worked with at-risk youth in a variety of settings. These settings include a therapeutic school for homeless youth, residential treatment centers, school counseling, and community counseling. Kristen has also assisted the University of Health Sciences Center in research on childhood schizophrenia.
Kristen has been with Griffith Centers for Children Chins Up for over 5 years. In her role as Residential Clinical Director for the Griffith Centers for Children, Kristen strives to bring a mindful, strength-based and trauma-informed approach to every aspect of our care.
