Truancy in schools bring a complex issue for parents and educators to tackle. It is a leading symptom or result of several conditions and circumstances that often lead to a student not attending school. It is one of the key indicators of students needing help and if not addressed effectively, can result in a student eventually dropping out of school.
Griffith Centers for Children has partnered with school districts such as Adams County
Schools and have been working diligently to help kids stay in school with the ASK Truancy Services Program. This program helps provide students and parents resources to address issues that would contribute to a student not being able to make it to school. From therapy sessions, food programs, to transportation, The ASK Truancy Service Program has helped more than 380 students this year alone. With your support, we can make this impact even greater and offer services to more areas and school districts.
