Our Mission: Strengthening Colorado
Communities One Family at a Time.

Griffith Centers for Children began in 1927 in Denver, Colorado. Our founder, Miss Emily Griffith, was a respected educator who believed that every child deserves positive experiences and opportunities that would prepare him or her to live a productive life. She began by taking orphaned and delinquent boys into her home, and then, with the help of the Kiwanis Club of Denver, built the first “Emily Griffith Home for Boys”.
