Q: Who can attend this event?

A: Anyone can attend, with the purchase of a ticket! Members of the community, parents, teachers, friends – all are welcome! You can register per person, per couple, or per table! Additionally, if you or your organization would like to be a sponsor for this event, there are different levels of sponsorship available.

Q: What can I expect at the event?

A: Amazing food and lots of fun! In this event, 4 professional chefs each pair up with one student from the Griffith Centers culinary program. Each chef-student pair then competes in a lively competition to create the best culinary dish! In addition, Griffith Centers for Children Chins Up provides delicious food, an entertaining program, a live auction, and dancing under the stars while making a difference for thousands of kids. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.

Q: What should I wear?

A: Griffith’s Kitchen is a formal affair but is not extravagant. Men often wear a suit with a tie or bow tie, but are not limited to black and white (no cummerbunds, tails, gloves, or sashes). Women wear an evening dress, and due to summer weather, usually wear a dress that is knee length.

Q: What does my contribution help fund?

A: Your registration and participation in any event, including Griffith’s Kitchen, goes directly into the youth and family programs we offer and helps GCC stay on budget for the year! This includes the students in Griffith Center’s culinary program, as well as other students within the school, children in our foster care program, our residential facility, and all outpatient community-based programming.

Q: If I cannot make the event, can I still donate?

A: Absolutely – we value and appreciate all contributions to our agency. As a non-profit focused on helping children and families by providing resources within the community, any assistance from individuals, groups, or organizations is welcome. Whether you are seeking to provide a financial donation, to volunteer time, or offer resources, you can click HERE to find more information about the different ways to give!
