Meet Our Superhero Foster Families

Foster and foster adopt families at the Griffith Centers for Children, Chins Up are

They act on their life’s purpose to keep children safe and to make sure children feel precious, loved, wanted and valued. 

In order for our foster and foster adoptive parents to fulfill their life’s purpose, they put a tremendous amount of effort into keeping their extraordinary superhuman powers sharp! They do this by continually developing their exceptional trauma-informed skillsets. Our superheroes focus on mending relationships, fostering peace, and nurturing hope in their child to cope, heal, and overcome their stressful and traumatic history. In other words, our foster and adoptive parents’ embrace, nurture, and develop our world’s next generation of superheroes!

Who Can Be a Foster Parent?

The Foster Care & Foster Adopt program is part of an inclusive and diverse child placement agency (CPA). 

  • There are no restrictions on who can foster or adopt based on race, ethnicity, sexual orientation or expression, gender identity or marital status.
  • You must be at least 21 years old, physically, emotionally, and fiscally able to care for children.
  • Have a verifiable form of income.
  • Able to pass criminal background and child abuse registry checks.
  • Must be able to complete pre-service and on-going training.
