BECOME A GRIFFITH CENTERS FOR CHILDREN CHINS UP FOSTER PARENT!

Griffith Centers for Children Chins Up Foster Care collaborates with various Colorado counties to help place children, 0-18 years of age, into certified and safe foster and adoptive homes.

We offer three types of licensing services to our families in the community –

Foster – Only:  for families who want to open their home to children in need of a temporary safe haven or until the courts order reunification is possible for the child and their first family (biological).

Foster – Adopt: for families who want to adopt from the foster care system. These families may have seen a child who is legally-free on the Colorado Heart Gallery or Adoption Exchange, and they have called upon us to support them as their licensing authority.

Therapeutic Foster Care: for families with specialized parenting skills, who are trauma-informed, and resource connected. These families assist a child or youth who has graduated from of a residential facility or group home center, and who can be safe in a foster home in the community. These families are licensed to provide short or long-term therapeutic foster care. They do have the opportunity to adopt from foster care if and when it is in the best interest of the child.

As a foster and adoptive family with the Griffith Centers for Children Chins Up, our families have come to expect a myriad of services and support: initial and on-going trainings, access to a number of audio and visual continual education units, support meetings, agency hosted holiday events and celebrations, professional support, 24/7 crisis intervention, financial reimbursement, respite care, and wrap-around service options.

Because the continuity of care is important to the Griffith Centers for Children Chins Up, we do not simply place a child in any foster home.

Our goal is based on a goodness of fit model – to place foster and adoptive children in the foster home that would complement and enrich the lives of everyone involved.

Our foster and adoptive families are changing the lives of Colorado’s children, and you can too! We are looking for caring and dedicated people who love spending time enriching the lives of children, giving back to their community, and are ready to be the change they wish to see in the world.

If this describes you, then consider becoming a foster parent through the Griffith Centers for Children Chins Up!
