The Wilderness Challenge

The wilderness program is utilized as a therapeutic and educational tool designed to challenge, motivate, and promote enhanced growth in each child. Led by a team of well trained wilderness therapists and instructors, each course is tailored to the clinical and educational goals of each unique group. The wilderness experiences are designed to propel the child beyond his self - imposed comfort zone, to a level of personal growth he had never believed possible. From winter camping in Yellowstone National Park, to climbing fourteen thousand foot peaks, these courses challenge each child in the areas of leadership, self esteem, problem solving, self discipline, and the ability to work interdependently as a team member. The achievement of having broken the limits of fear and negative self perceptions is an accomplishment which can ensure lasting changes in each child's life.

The Ropes Course Challenge

A ropes course has the physical appearance of an elaborate obstacle course 30 feet above the ground. Each element of the course is designed to be physically challenging, and promote trust-building, problem solving, risk taking, communication, goal setting, and team work. In this safe, and exhilarating environment, each child is challenged to face his fears while receiving support and encouragement from his peers and staff.
