CHINS UP helps to create safe places for children and families to live and learn by providing the following programs:
Foster Care
CHINS UP's Treatment Foster Care Program provides loving homes for children who cannot remain with their families. We provide extra care in recruiting families to serve sibling groups and/or children who have experienced several placements and have multiple needs. We serve infants to children 18 years of age and we serve approximately 150-200 children per year.
Adoptions
Adoption is an option for families who are caring for children whose parents have had their parental rights terminated. CHINS UP is a licensed adoption agency that prepares home studies for families interested in public and private adoption.
Family Preservation
The primary goal of the Family Preservation Program is to assist families in finding safe methods by which to remain intact. Our program works with families who are at imminent risk of having a child placed outside the home, or whose child would be unable to return home without intensive home-based services. We serve approximately 160 families per year.
